Tall Grass Prairie Wins 2013 Commerce Design Winnipeg Architecture Award

Tall Grass Prairie Wins 2013 Commerce Design Winnipeg Architecture AwardCongratulations to the owners and staff of Assiniboine member Tall Grass Prairie Bread Company, who recently won the 2013 Commerce Design Winnipeg Award for their imaginative renovations to the 1930s brick building in Wolseley.

This coveted design award rewards Winnipeg merchants for the exceptional quality of the interior and exterior design of their businesses and highlights the talents of Manitoba designers.

Lyle Barkman, one of the four owners, is very pleased with the results of their restoration project.

I am very proud of the transformation of our building, and extremely happy we could stay in this neighbourhood, where we started out. Assiniboine worked with us to fund this project and with their creativeness and commitment, we were able to expand. I really appreciate the relationship we have with them.

Tall Grass continues to grow and expand, working hard to supply Winnipeg with the savoury wholesomeness of delicious breads and sweet treats. Come out and enjoy their fresh baked aromas and tastes at their newly renovated Wolseley location, or stop in at Tall Grass at the Forks.
