Red River College’s Culinary Arts Program held a competition for 2nd year students to earn the opportunity to learn from the best, at Institut Paul Bocuse. Alex and Nicole were awarded the grand prize – a chance to train with 13 other countries in this culturally-rich country, where food is known for its finesse and flavour.

And Assiniboine employee, Verna Wong, couldn’t be a prouder mom.

The Perfect Fusion of Flavours

Red River College (RRC) joined the prestigious culinary alliance last fall as the only Canadian partner to be inducted into the Institut Paul Bocuse Worldwide Alliance in Lyon, France.

Every year, their innovative educational program gives 40 students a unique opportunity to perfect their technical skills and discover French culture, while at the same time sharing and showcasing their own culinary culture. Canada became the 14th country to join this top Hospitality Management & Culinary Arts school and Alex and Nicole will be the first Canadians to attend.

Congratulations Alex and Nicole on being the first two Canadians to be awarded with this prestigious internship!

Bon voyage et bon appétit!
