TapeScape is an interactive indoor landscape made entirely from plastic wrap and packing tape stretched over a huge metal frame. Designed by artist Eric Lennartson, this installation has been a big hit at children’s museums in the US and is making its first appearance in Canada here at the Manitoba Children’s Museum until September 1.
Each TapeScape exhibit is individually created on site and follows no blueprint. It takes shape as volunteers help to form the twists, curves and tubes that invite kids to climb, crawl and slide.
If you are looking for indoor activities this summer where your kids can let off steam while sparking their imaginations, include a visit to the Manitoba Children’s Museum. Admission to the museum is $10 for ages 1-101.
