Know When You’re At Risk: Get Online Alerts
Online fraud is on the rise and it can happen to anyone — even you. Prepare now with Online Alerts.
Once a criminal has access to your account information, they can take advantage of you in a variety of different ways. This includes:
- logging into your CU@HOME or Outlook Financial account without your knowledge or consent
- changing your Personal Access Code (PAC) so you no longer have access — but they do
- adding a new bill payee, then paying themselves
- adding a new Interac e-transfer recipient, then transferring your funds out of your account and into their own
The good news is that you can take steps to protect yourself with Online Alerts. Online Alerts is a feature for ACU and Outlook members that will notify you through text message or email (or both, if you prefer), when certain events take place on your online banking. It’s an extra level of security that lets you know if your account has been accessed or transactions have taken place by someone other than you. The sooner you know, the faster you can take steps to protect yourself.
Online Alerts are free* and it’s easy to set them up. Know when you’re at risk. Sign up today!
