Congratulations to Diversity Food Services for their recent announcement to operate Buffalo Stone Café at FortWhyte Alive. Award winning Chef du Cuisine – Kelly Cattani – will manage the café and all the catering services.
With closely aligned environmental and social values, this partnership just makes sense. The menu will feature local, organic and sustainable foods cooked from scratch, including those grown at FortWhyte’s own on-site farm.
Diversity Foods started out delivering nutritional, local food while providing meaningful employment for new Canadians, Indigenous peoples, downtown community residents and University students. Now with this expansion, they can offer their employees even more. Ian Vickers, Chief Operating Officer at Diversity Food Services, looks forward to this new opportunity.
We welcome the opportunity to share nutritious and delicious food with more Manitobans. This partnership means more hours of employment for Diversity staff, as our slowest time on campus (summer) is FortWhyte’s busiest season.
Buffalo Stone Cafe will officially open under Chef Cattani’s management on November 1. Check out what’s on the menu at FortWhyte this season!
